Diane shares a delicious recipe for a Cantaloupe, Lime, and Black Tea Smoothie. This smoothie is perfect for a really refreshing summer specialty drink! The tea adds extra antioxidants and depth of flavor. It’s so simple, I hope you will try it. Just make sure you use a super-ripe, juicy, sweet melon. You can adjust the lime and sweetener to your own tastes. Enjoy!!
You will need:
- Half a ripe, juicy cantaloupe, cubed in 1-inch pieces and then frozen
- 1/2 to 1 lime – to taste
- 8 oz. steeped and chilled English Breakfast tea
- Optional sweetener of choice – recommend 1 TBS with ripe sweet melon
Let melon pieces sit for a few minutes in a blender at room temperature. Add tea and sweetener (if using), squeeze in juice of 1 lime, and blend until smooth.
