Preparation: Importance of Brewing and a Recipe

When preparing hemp tea, it is imperative to brew it carefully as the process will decide the effects. If you properly brew hemp tea, its color can vary from dark green to brownish. The color usually depends upon the part of the herb from which you are making the tea. If you want to enjoy the therapeutic effects of hemp tea, you can get your hands on the best budget buds available.

The hemp plant leaves are added to hot water and brewed for at least three minutes to prepare hemp tea. For proper absorption of all the components released from the hemp leaves, you can add a little cow milk or maybe even a few drops of edible essential oils into the tea, which—due to their lyophilic nature—hold all the components together.

The ancient Chinese people were known to prepare tea from the hemp plant to relieve aches and pains. They were the first people to have created and consumed this beverage. In search of a quick way to prepare hemp tea? Outlined below is one of their most common recipes for preparing it with ease.

The preparation of hemp tea only requires four primary ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp hemp infusion

  1. Boil 3 cups of water and then pour the butter and hemp infusion into it.
  2. Boil the mixture for around 7 minutes before adding tea of your choice.
  3. Next, strain your tea into a cup.

If you’re wondering whether hemp tea gets you high, you can rest assured – the hemp plant goes into the tea and not marijuana. THC is a compound that causes one to feel a euphoric high, which is found in marijuana. On the other hand, hemp tea contains CBD and only traces of THC. CBD is not psychoactive. So, this tea cannot get you high.
