You might think of it as the “Shark Tank” of the tea industry. Seventy-eight new tea businesses submitted their creative new ideas for judging in three categories.
Contestents were asked to provide videos about their products and their companies. T Ching is pleased to partner with World Tea to share some of these with you. In our Finalists Gallery you have links to the videos and also to their websites.
Judges, James Tidwell, Founder, TEXSOM, Angelica Palladino, General Manager, Four Seasons Hotel, Seattle, Wash., Eve Hill Angus, Restaurant Critic and Writer and Babette Donaldson, Publisher of T Ching, narrowed the field to nine finalists (see below). Winners will be announced on March 15 at the World Tea Summit (4:30 EST). This is a free event, hosted by World Tea Conference +Expo.

With many incredible entries, it was very difficult to narrow the entries down to these nine finalists. Every entry has a unique vision of how they are can make a difference in the tea industry by making tea a more meaningful experience. As a judge and as the publisher of T Ching, I know that you readers will be as excited as I have been to learn more about their work. One of the opportunities that T Ching plans to create for these tea entrepreneurs is to give many of them an opportunity to tell their stories of inspiration and perservence as they grow their businesses.
