Late last summer there was an opportunity for me to join the T Ching family as the Social Media Editor. I have been reading T Ching at least since 2008 when I was in college, to accept this position was an incredible opportunity for me. I promised to Michelle that T Ching would become an important part of the tea community.
From the day we got started on Instagram, we were very warmly welcomed in the tea community. T Ching’s social media presence went from being very automated to being very active on social media and online tea communities. From starting #teawarewednesday to interacting with the lovely Steepster community, I try to do my best to live to T Ching’s mission of “nurturing a community of tea lovers by providing a forum for the exchange of information, thoughts, and experiences.”
To even be nominated for Best Social Media Reach at this year’s World Tea Expo is beyond a dream. None of this would be possible without the dedication of our intern Connor Adlam. Connor has played an integral role in building our Social Media presence this year. I really could not have done this without him. I extend my congratulations to El Club de Te for winning the award for Best Social Media Reach two years in a row! I love to see the tea community grow in South America–what they are doing is amazing for the tea community.
Thank you to everyone who has supported T Ching and I hope to connect with you on social media soon!

Wonderful!!! Since 2009 I’ve been writing monthly for the blog, and Michelle I now consider a friend, and everyone, every editor and the entire group have just been tops! Congratulations…y’all deserve it!!!
It is a blessing to have made friends with you through T Ching. Having your voice as a guest contributor has helped to make T Ching the vibrant blog that it has become.
Congratulations James. You and Connor have done an amazing job in such a short period of time. Kudos to you both. At this rate I expect before long that award will be T Ching’s.
The tea blogger peanut gallery was all cheering when T Ching was announced as the winner. Congrats!
Thanks so much Nicole. Loved the video.
