You and I are great souls.
And we come together for a time.
We meet over a cup of tea here on earth.
Shall we leave our shell and join with each other?
Shall we put down our shield and armor?
What will become of us if we do?
What horrible fate awaits us if we are defenseless?
Tea is a time for love and tenderness without fear.
It is a time for sharing and learning and growing.
Come now, leave the battle gear behind.
Brave with me and let’s have tea.

When I share tea with a friend, it seems to enhance the sharing, growing and learning – not sure how/why that happens but it does. I recently, virtually, met a new friend who lives in Barbados. She LOVES tea. We now have a weekly skype meeting over tea. It’s as if we’re sitting together and actually meeting in each other’s home. Her’s is on the sea which seems to trump my killer Mt Hood and forrest view but I’m an ocean person at heart. Sharing stories of our lives and history, which happens with new friends, has been enhanced I’m sure by our shared love of tea and our tea time together. And yes, the armor is most definitely gone.
