I.
Ocean mist and clouds
Cool the air – a welcome chill
Inviting hot tea
II.
Born of railroad wealth
A reverent tea garden
Beckons the seeker
III.
A quiet moment
Passes quickly, but for the
Ritual of tea
These haiku were inspired by a recent visit to the newly reopened Japanese Garden at The Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens in San Marino, California.
Erica; Love em; have to get there; its such a peaceful contemplative space…..is the tea house just as beautiful in its new incarnation? http://www.RobertWemischner.com
Thank you so much, Robert! The restored Japanese Garden and its tea house are as beautiful as I remember them. Do go!
