Holiday time at the New York City Ballet, when we are all in the throes of our 45-show run of George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker, usually involves an informal exchange of small gifts between friends and dressing roommates.
This season I was delighted to discover a package of Madagascar Vanilla-flavored Rooibos tea at my dressing spot from my good friend Faye. She sprinkled these packages around to everyone in our dressing room and received an overwhelmingly positive response.
I guess dancers under the strain of nine shows a week know what’s good for them! I hear that Rooibos tea has similar anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant benefits to green tea. Can any of the TChing experts eloborate?
