You may have noticed that Friday is poetry day at T Ching. We’d love to share your tea-inspired poems with our community. Just send them to me at michelle@tching.com and it will be my pleasure to post them on our site. No experience necessary!

Here’s an ancient poem by Lu Tung to help inspire you:

The first bowl sleekly moistened my throat and lips.

The second banished all my lonliness.

The third expelled the dullness from my mind, sharpening inspiration gained from all the books I’ve read.

The fourth brought forth light perspiration dispensing a lifetime’s troubles through my pores.

The fifth bowl cleaned every atom of my being.

The sixth has made me kin to the immortals

This seventh is the utmost I can drink.
