Teh Tarik is a combination of black tea and condensed sweetened milk that is poured back and forth, many times, between two vessels. The greater the distance between the vessels, the frothier and better the drink is said to be (who needs a $5000 cappucino machine!).

Teh Tarik is a sweet, frothy tea drink that is one of the most popular and widely consumed beverages in Malaysia. Some might even say it was their national drink. So much so that it is being used as an “experiment” in space by the first Malaysian astronaut as a way to bring Malaysian customs to the attention of the rest of the world.

As T Ching’s mission is to introduce and educate people about the healthier side of tea, we encourage people to enjoy the taste of tea unencumbered by sugar or other less healthy additives. I also believe it is important to learn about the customs of tea consumption in other countries as well as indulging in such sweet teas as a treat from time to time.
